Overview

The Software Developer will work in a dynamic and engaging environment supporting military mission systems. The Software Developer will be developing and integrating Government deployed applications, services and systems with their open source Command and Control (C2) capabilities. The candidate will also participate in the full agile application development life cycle for new software design, implementation, and testing of mobile, desktop, virtual and web applications using C#, .NET, Java and JavaScript languages.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Apply software design, architecture principles, best practices, and methods in multiple developmental frameworks
  • Work with the customer to learn and derive SOF unique requirements
  • Apply development concepts and software to meet environments' needs
  • Perform source code analysis
  • Develop loosely coupled, reusable code
  • Identify security risks, vulnerabilities, testing and mitigations
  • Analyze current systems and create, test, implement, maintain, and document programs through knowledge of the system-development cycle
  • Facilitate automated testing with the end-user

Minimum Requirements

  • DoD Secret Clearance is required
  • Experience using C#, .NET, Java or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases, REST, SOAP, and WSDL web service architectures, JSON and XML formats, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology, Agile & Scrum Methodologies, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and Python development languages
  • Knowledge the following languages and frameworks:
    • XML, JAVA, HTML, .NET, (C# and Visual Basic), JavaScript, Python, SQL, and scripting languages (Windows Batch, Linux/Unix, PHP)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux environments, and the ability to do fundamental system administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent customer relationship skill sets
  • Understand and meet DoD net-centric design requirements
