We are currently seeking a Junior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This is an amazing opportunity to directly support global Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and coordinate DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) products and follow customer portfolio processes for achievement of ATO.   
  • Review ACAS and HBSS dashboards and reports to understand security state of systems and coordinate with respective teams to mitigate or remediate.   
  • Review and understand system boundary, architecture diagrams and DoDAF views for assigned systems.   
  • Perform required reviews and updates for assigned systems to maintain a continuous monitoring state and keep updated in eMass. 
  • Administer and execute the monthly C2MS II update and vulnerability management program. 
  • Support the Government in coordinating and completing and required RMF A&A actions in conjunctions with other contracts. 
  • Provide guidance on the implementation DISA STIGs, perform audits on completed STIGs and update POA&Ms.  
  • Perform system security analysis to assess vulnerabilities and overall risk.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • 5+ years technical experience in systems/network administration.
  • 5 + years experience in DoD or military service, providing Cyber Security Risk Management Framework (RMF) and certification and accreditation processes.
  • Familiarization in security tools (ACAS, McAfee, Solar Winds, etc).
  • Formal DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) training.
  • Familiarization with RMF documentation, artifacts, products, and tools.
  • eMass system experience and familiarization with relevant artifacts, and products.
  • Policy and guidance writing proficiency.
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification.
  • Require Security+, System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
  • Required to obtain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certifications for the operating system(s) and security related tools/devices they support.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
