Overview

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager 3 to support our team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

• The technical project manager manages and ensures:
o the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects establishes technical requirements for the project;
o defines project deliverables, schedules, and communicates risks; and
o oversees a project from the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.
• Define what will be accomplished to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the work assignments.
• Function in an oversight role that will include:
o contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of program policies, procedures and standards;
o determining program enhancements; and
o providing technical advice to staff, other departments, and performs related work as required.
• Ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to completion.
• Ability to prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have 8 years of DOE experience and 5 years supporting a DOE Category II Nuclear Facility.
• Must have experience in developing and nurturing effective high-level internal and/or external customer relationships.
• Must have documented experience performing:
o corrective actions,
o management assessments,
o causal analysis,
o tracking and trending of Performance Assurance data,
o development of Performance Assurance metrics,
o event investigations, and
o Critiques/Root Cause/Effectiveness Reviews.
• Prefer prior DOE experience to include supporting D&D, environmental restoration and 413.3B construction projects.
