Overview

We are currently seeking a candidate to provide functional support to aid their ACC customer on operational objectives analysis while generating requirements for Combat Air Force (CAF) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), Operational Test & Training Infrastructure (OTTI), and Live, Virtual & Constructive (LVC) training programs; candidates will work with industry customer/industry partners on information/data flow across systems to enable realistic, enhanced, training environments across the CAF. Candidates will use their refined Gen 4 or Gen 5 operational fighter skills to aid analysis in generating requirements for CAF DMO Training Centers (DTC/VTTC). Candidates will advise on the development of capability requirements for CAF DMO and LVC platforms. A candidate’s skills will be used to assist in integrating USAF fourth, fifth and Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) systems into MTC’s.

 

Duties include collaboration and interfaces with other MAJCOMs, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Joint Services and Coalition training partners, and System Program Offices (SPO) for management of simulator/DMO and the Operations & Integration (O&I) programs.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Individual will assist in developing, refining, and producing life cycle management plans in support of integrating DMO systems with the Mission Training Centers (MTCs). The individual will maintain in-depth knowledge of training systems, DMO, OTTI, and LVC concepts to provide technical and analytical assistance in the development, validation, and coordination of DMO capability requirements, document and assist integration of CAF DMO capability requirement into weapon system MTC programs. This includes but is not limited to Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standard (SCARS), Cross Domain Support (CDS) and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).
  • The individual will assist in collaboration and interface with Functional Area Managers and System Program Offices to develop weapon system training device requirements, resolution of training systems issues and shortfalls, and provide recommendations and guidance for simulator enhancements to support RAP training and POM submissions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Top Secret Clearance must be able to obtain and maintain SCI/SAP access.
  • MAJCOM or higher-level staff (combination of active duty, government service, or contractor).
  • Experience investigating and evaluating new LVC technologies and training concepts for inclusion into CAF’s DMO and other readiness programs.
  • Experience designing, planning, preparing, and executing assessments of DMO and other combat readiness programs or plans.
  • Experience delivering analytical and conceptual studies on readiness-related efforts and LVC technologies.
  • Experience evaluating technical/operational impacts, cost/training benefit analysis, and propose changes to MAJCOM level leadership meeting operational capabilities and addressing operational needs.
  • Experience collaborating on DMO/OTTI/LVC working groups developing solutions for integration and interoperability.
  • Experience in Requirements, Operations, and/or SPO capabilities and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of CAF Training Requirements.
  • Experience developing and refining management plans for integrating DMO Systems
  • Knowledge of other related networks to include NMON, NCTE, ARCNet.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Joint Capability Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) staffing and requirements development.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting high level briefings, Bullet Background Papers (BBPs), and Technical Reports.
