Overview

PSI is currently seeking a Billing Manager to support our Financial Management team. 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire contracts billing process, including but not limited to the Firm Fixed Price, Time and Material and Cost-Plus Fixed Fee, and other reimbursable billings
  • Review and approve all invoices before submission
  • Supervise the Billing/Accounts Receivable staff to ensure accurate and timely workflow.
  • Work with project managers and contract administrators to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
  • Ensure all billing milestones and deadlines are met
  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts
  • Coordinate with clients and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Supervise and mentor the billing and accounts receivable team
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • GSA schedule maintenance

Desired Qualifications

  • BS (accounting environment or finance) + 8-12 years of government contractor experience or an equivalent combined of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of government contract regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Billing and account reconciliation experience
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to cope with fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of management team
  • Strong organization skills
  • Detail oriented
