Overview

PSI is currently seeking a Data Analyst to support a Federal Government client in providing development, configuration, and maintenance services on the organization’s corporate hybrid network environment and web-based applications systems. As a result of legislative action and internal commitments to improving operations performance, policies continue to evolve and emphasize the importance of strengthening operations in the Agency’s management platform. The Data Analyst will play an important role in strengthening the operations performance culture, ensuring that the Agency can more efficiently and effectively achieve its mission while improving and meeting the Agency’s goals.

 

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Collect operations performance data, as well as analyzing such data, processes, and management issues to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide reporting and data analytic/visualizations services to support all Internal Sites and data repositories.
  • Perform business analysis and make recommendations to improve performance – may include strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats analysis, business process mapping, sludge audits, and other analysis relevant to operations performance and development such as assessing emissions from staff commuting and discretionary or non-discretionary travel, developing recommendations to incentivize partners to develop pathways to becoming net zero organizations, etc.
  • Support the conduct of Mission Management Assessments to promote organizational health and learning as outlined in Agency guidance.
  • Conduct management assessments of specific operating units or processes and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends to aid in organizational decision-making and strategic direction.
  • Use automated solutions to extract data from primary and secondary data repositories and third-party data sources.
  • Perform analysis to assess data quality and meaning and represent data in a logical and understandable manner.
  • Develop data visualizations using Tableau Server or Microsoft’s Power BI and publish results within SharePoint on-prem and/or SharePoint Online.
  • Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques, python, and business intelligence tools (primarily Tableau and Power BI)
  • Develop interactive data collection tools using third party services such as Qualtrics or other web-based data collection instruments.
  • Support the creation of visuals and graphics to be used in audit reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in data analytics and reporting.

    • SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint Online
    • Qualtrics or other web-based data collection instruments
