We’re looking for well-rounded engineers to join our growing team of DevSecOps and Cloud Infrastructure practitioners supporting the U.S. Air Force Unified Platform Software Factory. Based in San Antonio, the Unified Platform consists of a diverse group of industry experts that leverage agile methodologies and state-of-the-art DevSecOps practices to deliver rapid, impactful solutions to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Cyber Command

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Follow Agile/GitOps processes using tools such as Jira and Gitlab or Nexus.
  • Work as generalist that can support the deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, and interoperability of various software.
  • Manage containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts for deployment with ArgoCD and/or FluxCD.
  • Optimize Kubernetes resource allocation and autoscaling configurations.
  • Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines including but not limited to Kyverno policy enforcement.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with DoD standards such as NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design. 
  • Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-based resources.
  • Integrate DevSecOps tools and services to enable automated pipelines that support customer applications throughout their SDLC.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams and contribute to the development of DevSecOps strategies and roadmaps. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering related discipline
  • Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (Sec+, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP) OR IA System Architecture and Engineer (IASAE) Level II Certification (CASP, CISSP, CSSSLP).
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining production workloads using one or more public cloud service providers with a strong preference for AWS or Azure.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated pipelines used for CI/CD, process automation, and/or data processing tasks.
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python, etc.)
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions using tools like Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
  • Proven aptitude to create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills and desire to work in a "badgeless” collaborative team environment consisting of Government clients, other Contractors, and Stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

  • Desired Certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • Be local to the San Antonio, Texas area and available for hybrid work.
