Overview

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join the rehabilitation team at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX, within the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Clinic (IPMC).

 

This position plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on pain management, functional restoration, and rehabilitation for our nation’s service members and their families. The Physical Therapist will contribute to an interdisciplinary approach that enhances readiness, recovery, and overall quality of life within the military community.

  • Duty Location: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Ft. Bliss, TX (Interdisciplinary Pain Management Clinic). No Telework allowed.
  • Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1630. 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Core Duties: A Physical Therapist (PT) supports in delivering treatment programs that help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services, including patient evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans.

  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.

  • Instruct and assist patients with functional activities and the use of assistive devices.

  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and response to treatment.

  • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Communicate with referring providers regarding patient status and treatment recommendations.

  • Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree/Education: Doctorate Degree.
  • Education: Entry-level physical therapists must be graduates of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. Completion of professional coursework in the specialty area such as Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS).
  • Experience: Two years of experience within the last three years as a physical therapist.
  • Licensure: Contract workers requiring licensure shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) in one of the 50 US States and/or territories. Additional licenses held by a provider must be in good standing whether they are inactive, expired, or limit the provider’s practice to a military setting. The healthcare provider’s license(s) must remain current, valid, and unrestricted throughout the duration of the contract worker performance on the contract.
  • NPI registration and the Contractor shall ensure this renewed/remain current throughout the performance on the contract.
  • Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Demands

  • Contract workers must be capable of lifting overhead 20 pounds, bending repetitively, Twist/turn at waist without restriction, no difficulty grasping/pulling.

Additional Information

  • Occupational Health: The contract worker shall be required to obtain documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination.
  • Tuberculosis Screening: The Contractor ensure contract workers shall be screened for tuberculosis (TB). In addition, contract worker will be screened prior to reporting for services at the place of performance for the following: N/A
  • Health Requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
