Overview

ProSphere is offering free IT Training. This offer is only available to Military Veterans who live within 1 hour of Bossier City, LA and Barbourville, KY.  We pay $10 per hour up to 30 hours a month for 3 months. All aspects of this training will be completed virtually which includes an one hour orientation. All training is self-paced and can be completed from the comfort of your own home during the time that fits your schedule. 

 

This is a temporary, part-time position which, upon successful completion, if interested, may lead to a future career opportunity as a Customer Service Technician. No commitment required. 

 

In order to provide qualified Customer Service Technician certified candidates, ProSphere is looking for veterans to complete CompTIA training. If you’re interested in acquiring new and in-demand Information Technology skills, you may be the candidate we are seeking.  ProSphere is an IT Services company that provides solutions to the US Federal Government, and specifically to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Customer Service Technician provides customer support, service and technical support through analysis and problem solving to enable installation, maintenance, education, implementation and documentation of a variety of software and hardware technologies using remote communication or via phone to the client or the end user.

 

 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Attend an orientation session via remote session.
  • Complete a prescribed series of online courses, quizzes, hands-on training sessions, over a period of 3 months.
  • Supplement self-paced learning with access to a virtual community and in-person access to a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Take & pass a predetermined CompTIA Course tests. 

Minimum Requirements

 Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience Required:

  • Must be a Veteran who served in the active U.S. military, naval, or air service and can provide copy of Form DD 214

  Skills:

  • Familiarity with Computers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and possess desire to learn
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 5-20 lbs.
