Overview

ProSphere is seeking a Testing Engineer Senior responsible for maintaining and upgrading the Government Test Lab so that it closely replicates DOT production infrastructure environment and enables a thorough, accurate, and optimized IV&V process.  As a member of our team, the Testing Engineer Senior will maintain a Master Test Strategy Plan and incorporate best practices from the Federal perspective and Commercial engagements. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and willing to work at the Department of Transportation Headquarters in Washington DC. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Requirements Analysis –
    • Review or prepare the documentation form of all requested tests to be performed or released to the environment.
    • Obtain approval from the change board before moving forward with the test.
  • Test Planning –
    • Assist with the creation and execution of test plans for various projects based on independent requirements analysis.
    • Environment Setup – Prepare the Test Lab environment for conducting the test (obtain the software and equipment).
    • Maintains a Timeline/schedule of tests to take place in the test lab environment.
  • Test Execution
    • Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) for each software application on the image build.
    • Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) for all hardware models.
    • Perform validation of accessibility features for 508 Compliance of all products released to the DOT Common Operating Environment.
  • Test Cycle Closure
    • Document the test results and store them on the Testing Site.
    • Present the results for review and final closure by the change control board.
    • Defined and implemented weekly RFT Change tracking reports for Federal leadership as part of continuous process improvements for the Test Lab environment.
  • Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • Degree may be substituted with 6 additional years of related experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience as an IT auditor performing vulnerability assessments and audit remediation, specializing in business process engineering.
  • Must have experience accessing system and database vulnerabilities.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with multiple levels of management.
  • Collaboration with multi-functional teams/stakeholder; working in teams.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to problems, issues, and risks.
