Overview

Pro-Sphere Tek, Inc. (ProSphere) is seeking Senior Developer position is for the US Department of Veterans Affairs Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) contract within the VA CCSS Acquisition and Property Management (APM) product line’s Technical Information Library Management System/Space and Equipment Planning System/MILSTAN 1691 (TIL-MS/SEPS with MILSTAN 1691) application delivery team supporting VA’s Corporate Portfolio of applications, systems, and services.

 

This position will support and utilize key technologies for the continued development, enhancement, and operation & maintenance (O&M) activities for the soon-to-be migrated TIL-MS, SEPS, and MILSTAN 1691 applications/databases, all three of which operate dependently upon one another and are being migrated from the external MAX.gov platform into VA’s internal AWS cloud environment as a primary goal of this delivery effort. Thereafter, the CCSS TIL-MS/SEPS/1691 Delivery Team will continue to support, enhance, and maintain all three of these applications in future contract out-years.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
  • Conducts product-level and code-level analysis, and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of VA legacy and modernization tools and systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product(s) may be special use, customized, and/or COTS/GOTS software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, APIs, and utility programs.
  • Ensures VA software coding standards and compliance requirements are utilized and met.
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with client objectives.
  • Mitigates audit findings for software applications being supported, with emphasis on internal VA monthly network scan findings and Section 508 compliance findings. Where necessary, writes and/or contributes to the creation of POA&Ms to mitigate these findings when a software-based solution cannot be implemented, and towards the obtainment and renewal of VA Authorization to Operate (ATO) certification for all three applications.
  • Works closely with and as a member of an Agile/SAFe-based contractor software delivery team utilizing Agile, Scrum, and SAFe-based delivery methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, cloud, DevSecOps, and related taskings, responsibilities, tools, techniques, and technologies.

      • Web-based UX/UI design and coding skills
      • Use of collaboration tools such as MS Teams and ZoomGov
    • Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:
      • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience, –  OR –
      • Masters and three (3) years or more experience
      • Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
